Tea rific Style

Fashion might be a passion — or keen interest — of mine, & while I won’t label myself as fashionable, I do take quite the thrill from trends, innovative designs, & runway shows.

Combined with working for several women-focused publications, that also means I’ve had to chance to attend & cover fashion events. And Columbus Fashion Week continually has some of my favorite shows. I’ve been attending FWC since I started working (around 2011), but this year was the first time I wasn’t attending on a media pass … & I totally didn’t think about using a previous year’s pass …

To start things off, FWC commences with a High Tea Fashion show at the Columbus Museum of Art. This year was catered by The Event Center at Hollywood Casino Columbus, with tea (once more by my one true love) Zen Cha Tea Salon, & featured 3 designers: Juan Jose Saenz-Ferreyros (taking inspiration from old Hollywood), Gerardo Encinas (taking inspiration from pop singers, androgynous designs), & KOUDRE by Anushka (Sam & Monica Pahouja, inspired by Indian fashion, cuts, colors, opulent designs).

I’ve provided a sample slice of the event, listing each designer course. I’ll also be posting more photos on my Instagram; showcasing some of the styles. AND! I attended 3 other events during FWC, so stay ready for a peak into those as well.
